BCU Limited is a company registered in Hong Kong.

By purchasing an eligible ticket online through a booking service where BCU Limited is identified as the authorized ticket sales agent, you agree to these Terms, the applicable SPBE transportation terms and conditions, and any fare, cancellation, refund, or booking conditions disclosed during checkout.

Please read these Terms carefully before completing your purchase.

2. BCU Limited's Role

BCU Limited acts as an authorized online ticket sales agent for San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Limited.

Routes, schedules, fares, vessel operations, boarding, passenger transportation, baggage requirements, and transportation-related services are determined or operated by SPBE.

The contract for ferry transportation is between the passenger and SPBE.

3. San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Limited

Tickets sold by BCU under these Terms relate to transportation services provided by SPBE.

By purchasing an SPBE ticket, the passenger also agrees to SPBE's applicable Terms and Conditions and transportation policies.

Where a matter relates to ferry transportation or passenger carriage, SPBE's applicable transportation terms apply.

4. Online Ticket Purchases

Customers may purchase eligible SPBE tickets through approved online booking channels.

Customers must provide accurate and complete booking, passenger, contact, and travel information.

The customer is responsible for reviewing the booking details before completing payment.

This includes reviewing:

  • Passenger name.

  • Route.

  • Origin.

  • Destination.

  • Travel date.

  • Travel time, where applicable.

  • Ticket type.

  • Number of passengers.

  • Fare and fees.

  • Cancellation conditions.

A ticket purchase is considered confirmed only after payment has been successfully completed and a booking confirmation or valid ticket has been issued.

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee ticket availability until the transaction is successfully completed.

5. Ticket Prices, Currency, and Fees

The ticket price and any applicable fees will be displayed before the customer completes the purchase.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the total transaction amount before authorizing payment.

Ticket prices may vary depending on route, travel date, ticket type, passenger category, promotional conditions, or other fare rules determined by SPBE.

The transaction currency will be displayed during checkout.

Where a customer's bank, card issuer, or payment provider performs currency conversion, additional exchange rates or foreign transaction fees may be applied by that provider.

BCU does not control fees independently charged by a customer's bank, card issuer, or payment provider.

Any BCU booking, processing, or service fee, where applicable, will be disclosed before the customer completes payment.

6. Payment

Full payment is required to confirm an eligible online ticket purchase unless expressly stated otherwise.

Customer payments may be processed using authorized third-party payment service providers.

Customers authorize the applicable payment amount displayed during checkout when submitting the payment transaction.

BCU Limited does not intentionally store complete payment card numbers or card security codes on its ticketing systems.

Payment card information may be collected and processed directly by the applicable payment service provider.

BCU may receive transaction information including payment status, transaction reference, payment method type, refund information, and other limited payment-related information necessary to maintain transaction records and support customers.

7. Billing and Statement Descriptor

The customer's bank or card statement may display BCU Limited, an abbreviated BCU business name, or another billing descriptor clearly associated with the online ticket transaction.

Customers should review their booking confirmation and transaction records before reporting a transaction as unrecognized.

If a customer does not recognize a transaction, the customer is encouraged to contact BCU customer support promptly so that we can review the booking and transaction.

8. Digital Tickets and Booking Confirmations

Tickets may be delivered electronically by email, digital booking confirmation, customer account, or another approved delivery method.

A digital ticket may include:

  • Passenger information.

  • Booking reference.

  • Ticket number.

  • Route.

  • Travel date.

  • QR code.

  • Other ticket validation information.

Customers are responsible for providing a valid email address and accurate contact information.

Unauthorized copying, resale, alteration, duplication, or fraudulent use of a ticket or QR code is prohibited.

Ticket validity, transferability, boarding, and passenger identification requirements are governed by SPBE's applicable transportation terms.

9. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation eligibility is determined according to the applicable SPBE fare and cancellation conditions.

Unless different conditions are expressly disclosed during checkout:

Cancellation more than 48 hours before the original scheduled travel time

The ticket may be eligible for cancellation subject to a 25% cancellation fee.

Cancellation within 48 hours of the original scheduled travel time

The ticket is non-refundable.

No-show

No-show tickets are non-refundable.

Any booking, processing, or service fee expressly identified as non-refundable during checkout will not be refunded except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Customers requesting cancellation should contact an approved BCU or SPBE customer-support channel and provide the booking reference and other information reasonably necessary to identify the booking.

10. Refunds

BCU may process refunds that are approved according to the applicable SPBE fare, cancellation, or transportation policy.

Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The amount refunded will reflect any applicable cancellation fee or non-refundable fee disclosed during booking.

Once an approved refund has been initiated, the time required for the funds to appear in the customer's account may vary depending on the customer's bank, card issuer, payment method, or payment service provider.

BCU cannot guarantee the exact date on which a customer's bank or card issuer will make refunded funds available.

Where SPBE cancels a transportation service, the customer may be eligible for rescheduling, ticket credit, or a refund according to SPBE's applicable cancellation policy and the circumstances of the cancellation.

11. Rescheduling

Ticket rescheduling is governed by SPBE's applicable ticket and fare conditions.

Unless different conditions are disclosed during booking, eligible rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the original scheduled travel time.

A 25% rescheduling fee may apply.

Customers may also be responsible for any difference between the original fare and the fare applicable to the new travel date or service.

Rescheduling is subject to ticket eligibility and availability.

BCU may assist with eligible online booking rescheduling requests but does not control vessel schedules or transportation availability.

12. Transportation Changes and Cancellations

SPBE may modify, delay, suspend, or cancel transportation services due to weather, safety concerns, vessel operations, government directions, port restrictions, border procedures, mechanical issues, natural disasters, or other operational circumstances.

BCU does not control ferry operations or transportation schedules.

Where SPBE changes or cancels a transportation service, the customer's available remedy will be determined according to SPBE's applicable transportation and cancellation policies.

BCU may assist with communication, transaction records, rescheduling support, or processing an approved refund.

13. Passenger and Travel Information

Certain passenger and travel information is required to complete a ticket booking.

This information may include passenger name, gender, nationality, destination, route, travel date, and other information required by SPBE or applicable transportation authorities.

Passenger information may be provided to SPBE because SPBE operates the transportation service and may require the information for ticket validation, passenger boarding, passenger manifests, and regulatory requirements.

Failure to provide required passenger information may prevent the ticket purchase or transportation service from being completed.

Personal data is handled according to BCU's Privacy Policy and the applicable SPBE Privacy Policy.

14. International Travel

Passengers traveling on international routes are responsible for obtaining and carrying all required passports, visas, permits, and travel documentation.

BCU does not provide immigration or legal advice and does not guarantee that a passenger will be permitted to enter, leave, or transit through any country.

Immigration, customs, border, or government authorities may impose separate fees or requirements.

Such fees are not part of the BCU online ticket transaction unless expressly identified during checkout.

Passengers should review SPBE's international travel requirements before travel.

15. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate booking and passenger information.

  • Reviewing booking details before payment.

  • Providing a valid email address.

  • Reviewing the ticket and booking confirmation after purchase.

  • Contacting support promptly if booking information appears incorrect.

  • Protecting ticket QR codes and booking references.

BCU is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information provided by the customer, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

16. Payment Disputes

Customers who believe a payment is incorrect, duplicated, unauthorized, or otherwise problematic are encouraged to contact BCU promptly.

BCU may investigate the transaction and may request the booking reference, customer contact information, transaction details, or other information reasonably necessary to investigate the matter.

BCU reserves the right to provide booking, ticket-delivery, transaction, customer-communication, and other relevant records to payment service providers, banks, or card networks when responding to a payment dispute.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a customer from exercising rights available through the customer's bank, card issuer, payment provider, or applicable law.

17. Fraud and Unauthorized Activity

BCU may review, delay, reject, or cancel a transaction where we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorized payment activity, ticket abuse, system misuse, or other unlawful activity.

BCU may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify a booking or transaction.

Fraudulent ticket reproduction, payment fraud, unauthorized system access, or deliberate misuse of the booking service may be reported to SPBE, payment service providers, financial institutions, or appropriate authorities.

18. Customer Support

Customers may contact BCU regarding eligible online ticket sales, payment transactions, booking confirmations, digital ticket delivery, or approved refund processing.

SPBE names, trademarks, logos, and transportation-related materials belong to SPBE or their respective rights holders and may be used by BCU in connection with the authorized ticket sales relationship.

Nothing in these Terms grants customers or website users a right to commercially use BCU or SPBE intellectual property without appropriate authorization.

20. Third-Party Services

BCU may use third-party technology, hosting, communications, fraud-prevention, and payment service providers to support online ticket sales.

These third-party providers may operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

BCU is not responsible for an independent third-party service outside BCU's reasonable control, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

21. Limitation of BCU's Role and Liability

BCU's role is limited to its activities as an authorized online ticket sales agent and related online ticket transaction support.

BCU is not the ferry operator and does not control vessels, routes, schedules, captains, crew, boarding, baggage handling, port operations, immigration processing, customs processing, or transportation safety decisions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, BCU is not liable for transportation delays, missed connections, vessel changes, route changes, denied boarding by SPBE for valid operational or passenger-related reasons, immigration decisions, customs decisions, severe weather, port restrictions, or other transportation events outside BCU's reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

22. Privacy

BCU handles personal data according to the BCU Limited Privacy Policy.

Personal data may be shared with SPBE and authorized service providers where necessary to complete ticket sales, provide transportation services, process payments, issue or validate tickets, maintain records, prevent fraud, or comply with applicable legal requirements.
